    郑州处于京广与陇海两大铁路的交汇处，是中国重要的铁路枢纽；是中原地区的商贸中心；是商王威仪煊赫的亳都，是党领导工人运动的试点，是百年前籍籍无名的小县城，是当今繁荣兴盛的大都会。它是古老的，同时又是年轻的，星移斗转，沧海桑田，它底蕴悠长却又朝气蓬勃；它大气内敛而又厚积薄发。巍然屹立于城市的中央的二七纪念塔，是这座城市的标志与名片，如璀璨明珠，以其自身独特的魅力感染着走进它的你、我、他，在心灵的碰撞与精神的共鸣中承载起传承历史的特殊使命，将中国工人阶级坚强不屈的斗志和坚韧不拔的精神化成不灭的符号，融入每个人的思想之中、生活之中、生命之中，通过城市不断跳动着的强壮的脉搏，将属于郑州的荣耀与自豪永远传承。
    Zhengzhou, located at the joint of Beijing-Guangzhou railway line and Lianyungang-Gansu railway line, is a major transportation pivot in China and commercial trading centre in middle China. It used to be capital city of Shang Dynasty and a trial place for worker movements led by CPC. It has been developed from a mediocre city to today’s prosperous capital of Henan province. It is ancient but young and vibrant. In the centre of the city stands solemnly February 7th Memorial Tower, the name card of Zhengzhou. Like a glistering pearl, February 7th Memorial Tower inspires people in their life and thought by its unique glamour as symbol for perseverance of the working class, passes on the essence of Chinese history and makes the pride and honor of Zhengzhou well known in wider area.
