    京汉铁路总工会的成立

    of Beijing-Hankou Railway

    1922年4月至1923年1月，京汉铁路沿线16个分工会的代表先后召开了三次总工会筹备会议，决定于1923年2月1日在郑州普乐园举行京汉铁路总工会成立大会。
    In the period from April of 1922 to January of 1923, 16 b workers associations under the management of the General Workers Union of Beijing-Hankou Railway had help three preparatory meetings for the general assembly of the General Workers Union. As a result, the decision had been made to hold the assembly at Pulesi temple of Zhengzhou on February 1st of 1923.
    直系军阀吴佩孚为保障其利益及统治，削弱工人力量，防止工会组织壮大，派出军警阻挠总工会成立大会。2月1日，汇聚在郑州的各分工会代表和参会来宾冲破封锁，冲进会场，宣告京汉铁路总工会正式成立。                
    The warlord Wu Peifu had dispatched military grards to interrupt the progression of the assembly so that the interests and rule of warlords could be ensured, workers’ strength weakened and prevented for further development. Despite military suppression, representatives from subsidiary workers associations and other participants had broken the blockade by rushing into the venue and pronounced the official establishment of the General Workers Union of Beijing-Hankou Railway.
